Achieva Training and Employment Services help many participants throughout Wayne, Union, Fayette, Franklin, Ripley, Rush, Switzerland, and Dearborn counties. These services include job placement, job readiness, job retention, assessment, work experience, occupational skills, community work experience, skills evaluation, and computer training.
In the 2005-2006 fiscal year, our employment services programs have provided services to more than 590 individuals with a 90% satisfaction rate from funding sources, participants, and employers. The Vocational Rehabilitation program has a 70% successful closure rate.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services receives referrals from many different sources throughout East Central Indiana and in Dearborn Indiana.
Indiana Manpower Placement and Comprehensive Training (IMPACT) program offers a variety of services to TANF and Food Stamp recipients to enhance the quality of living and assist in obtaining long term economic independence.
Computer Training is offered to vocational rehabilitation participants at our current location and is also offered to community members and businesses wanting to freshen up on their computer skills.
School to Work Transition Program serves as a liaison between special needs students, and needed resources. Also, this program helps students with personal development, job readiness, job shadowing, job club, problem solving classes, and assist students with post secondary and Vocational Rehabilitation applications.
Minority Outreach: The Arc of Indiana, Indiana Black Expo, La Plaza and Achieva Resources are working in partnership through funding from Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation grant to reach Hispanic/Latino and African American persons with disabilities in Wayne County.
